OUR MISSION
To show respect to our troops, past, present and future. To somehow help the families and loved ones of those lost to us and to help understand the issues of returning service men and women on their reintroduction to civilian life.
The war never goes away in the mind of those who served in a war zone, you will never understand till you talked to a veteran. You will never know the lose a family member felt are the sarrow, unless you ask them.
We strive to make aware that war is never over, even when the shooting stops, and we the people are responsible for our veterans welfare and the memory of those lost.
If you know of a family that has lost some one in any war as a KIA, MIA, or died from wounds incured and they wish to have them remembered, please contact Inalene Skelton or myself.
This memorial was created after Inalene's son died from cancer in a VA hospital. In memory of her son, she wanted to make a memorial to honor fallen service men and women who were lost in war.
The criteria has been for KIA or MIA servicemen to be honor. Inalenes son did not die in Vietnam, and she has never to my knowledge claimed he was. Once in a while that criteria will vary depending on the details of the veterans death.
I can only tell you what I and others know, and that is Inalene cares about veteans and because of a mothers love for son, started this memorial.
.
In the furure as funds permit, we plan to have a page to display all names and pictuers of service men and women that have been remembed by the memorial.
